RHYTHM
BLOOM
A creative arts therapy group for children aged 3–14
(GROUPED BY AGE AND STAGE)
Rhythm & Bloom creative arts therapy is a joyful small-group program run by our Creative Arts Therapist (Dance & Movement Therapist). It supports children aged 3–14 years through a blend of movement, music, visual art, and group-based creative play — all designed to nurture emotional regulation, sensory integration, and meaningful social connection.
Children are grouped with others of a similar age and developmental stage, ensuring every participant engages in a safe, supported environment with like-minded peers. Sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each group.
This program is particularly valuable for children who find traditional talk-based therapies challenging. Here, creativity becomes the language — allowing expression, connection, and healing through the body, not just words.
Emotional Regulation
Supporting children to recognise, express, and manage emotions through movement, rhythm, and creative exploration.Sensory Exploration
Using sensory-based activities to support calm, focus, and body awareness.Creative Expression
Encouraging storytelling, identity-building, and communication through non-verbal mediums like dance, art, and music.Social Connection
Building peer relationships and group belonging in a supported, co-regulated space.
Not all children are ready — or able — to articulate their thoughts and emotions verbally.
Creative arts therapy offers a safe and accessible pathway to explore feelings, process experiences, and connect with others without pressure to find the “right” words.
Through expressive movement, image-making, rhythm, and play, children gain:
Increased self-awareness and self-confidence
A stronger connection between body and mind
Tools to self-regulate in daily life
A sense of control, agency, and emotional safety
